Rapid Resolution Therapy
Are You Stuck in Painful Memories, Harmful Patterns or Negative Beliefs About Yourself and the World?
Are you struggling with the after-effects of trauma, such as childhood neglect or abuse, assault, an accident or another physically, emotionally and mentally distressing event? Or, are you experiencing anger, shame, guilt, fear and alarming memories, but you can’t explain why? Are anxiety, panic, phobias and stress interrupting your ability to engage in the present moment and feel at ease? Maybe you are facing issues in your familial, friendly or romantic relationships, such as divorce or separation, an infidelity, disconnection, lack of trust, communication challenges or loneliness. If you have recently experienced the loss of a relationship, job or loved one, you may feel overwhelmed by grief and unable to believe that life can have meaning again. Perhaps you are binge eating, restricting calories or over-exercising, even though you worry about the impact that disordered eating can have on the body.
Traumatic, intense or challenging experiences can linger for years or decades, manifesting in ways we don’t expect or struggle to recognize. Maybe you face two or more of these issues at once, along with other difficult emotions or challenges, including low self-esteem, negative self-talk or compulsive habits. Or, you might just feel bad without knowing why. Does it seem as though nothing has helped you find lasting relief – not even traditional talk therapy? Do you wish you could find an effective, efficient way to feel more empowered, relaxed and uplifted?
Trauma Can Present in Surprising Ways
If you are struggling with hurt, confusion and exhaustion, you are not alone. Sometimes, the after-effects of trauma can make us feel paralyzed, worthless or hopeless and prevent us from living the life we want. You might feel as though this is just the way you are, or just the way life goes for you. But, it doesn’t have to be. Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) works with both the conscious and sub-conscious mind to resolve painful experiences completely, allowing you the freedom to move forward with self-assurance and reclaim your life.
Rapid Resolution Therapy is an innovative, holistic approach to treating relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief, compulsive disorders and – especially ¬– trauma. Traumatic events can have a significant impact on an individual’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, in both the short-term and the long-term. Often, the brain cannot process significant trauma on its own. Although your traumatic experience is over – perhaps so far in the past that you don’t now recognize it as trauma – and your conscious mind might know it is no longer happening, your unconscious mind may be stuck in the distressing sensations, images and emotions you experienced in the past, and it may still seem as though they are happening.
For example, if you were neglected as a child, you may consciously recognize that you now can create safety and stability in your life. However, if you have not fully processed the trauma of neglect, it may be stuck in your unconscious mind, making you feel very real feelings of uncertainty, fear, loneliness or the desire to please others. Similarly, eating disorders, compulsive behaviors, anger issues and relationship challenges are just some of the many ways that past traumas might be appearing in your life today.
Regardless of what you are going through or how you feel today, there is hope to discover a new sense of overall wellbeing and freedom. With the help of an experienced, knowledgeable and compassionate therapist, you can process past trauma and feel equipped to engage with a brighter future, without dwelling in the pain of the past.
Rapid Resolution Therapy Can Bring You Immediate, Long-Term Relief
Unlike many other forms of treatment, Rapid Resolution Therapy can offer you positive results in just one session. No matter what challenges you are facing or how stuck you feel, RRT is a highly effective, innovative way to let go of buried trauma, resolve negative feelings and find lasting healing.
In sessions, I will work to build a trusting, connected therapeutic relationship so you can feel supported and understood. Then, I will engage you in a series of relaxation techniques that address both the conscious and unconscious mind. When you are relaxed and present in the session, it becomes easier to work on issues on a deeper level and find resolution. RRT involves storytelling and narratives, rich with visual imagery that connects to various parts of the mind. These sorts of narratives can help your brain receive and process information in a new, uplifting ways. Enjoyable, engaging guided imagery is another significant component of RRT.
My approach is not about asking you to relive your traumatic experience or dwell on the past. Instead, together, we will look to your future goals, hopes, desires and possibilities. You can set an intention and imagine a life lived freely, without the complications and pains of the issue you’re facing. When you imagine your life in this way, you activate the part of your mind that can see a happy, empowered future as a real, attainable possibility. You can learn to change your attitude to focus on the thoughts that are productive and beneficial for you and let go of the distracting guilt, shame, self-blame, heartbreak or anger.
As we work together, breaking out of patterns of self-defeating thoughts and reframing the way you look at life’s challenges can happen dramatically. It can be so liberating to identify your issues and their triggers and to distinguish between the things you can change and the things you can’t. The future is yours to shape and enjoy. With Rapid Resolution Therapy, you can feel focused, free and at ease.
You may believe that Rapid Resolution Therapy can create positive change in your life, but still have questions or concerns...
I’m worried that I won’t be in control during sessions.
As you relax and engage with guided visualization, I will offer you support in a calm, safe environment. You will always be completely present and in control of your mind and body during our sessions. When you close your eyes, relax and imagine the life you want, you are not leaving the real world. Rather, you are helping yourself accept and integrate your ideal life as a real possibility.
I don’t want to bring up all these negative feelings.
During Rapid Resolution Therapy sessions, I will not ask you to discuss intense pain or relive traumatic events. I create a safe, nonjudgmental, relaxing space so that you aren’t triggered or made to feel distressing emotions. Rather than addressing issues by digging into them, we will resolve them by visualizing positive outcomes.
I don’t want to be in therapy forever.
